Jake Van Loon
Founder/Mentor/Grant Writer
I love teaching basic math and science to young people because it sets up a strong foundation for future academic success, self-worth, and independence. I hope to start working with more non-profit partners, foundations, and local businesses to contribute to exciting and innovative community enrichment programs throughout Oakland County. One of my goals this year is to start our first all-day summer STEM program in the metro-Detroit area that combines academic goals with fun hands-on projects that our young artists, musicians, engineers, and scientists can proudly display. -
Illeana Barragan
Head Tutor/After School Project Manager
I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for empowering students. I hold a degree in Sound Design from Michigan Technological University, which allows me to seamlessly integrate my STEAM background into my tutoring sessions and the after school programs I develop and teach. Outside of tutoring, I find joy in writing music, baking delicious treats, and spending quality time with animals, family, and friends.
